Clinical Pharmacology Learning Hub
Hi! I’m Crystal B. Yeung, a lifelong learner in Clinical Pharmacology. This website is my structured learning hub where I explore and document key concepts in PK, PD, and clinical trial design.
I share my understanding of each topic and cite textbooks and official references where appropriate. Visitors are welcome to offer feedback and suggestions — your insights help me refine my knowledge and improve the accuracy of the content.
After immigrating to the U.S. with an EB1A visa and completing two years of postdoctoral training at UTHSC, I faced new challenges in language, culture, and career development. Yet, through reflection and persistence, I found renewed motivation to grow. This site reflects that journey — from learner to professional — and my goal to make a meaningful contribution to patients’ lives through Clinical Pharmacology.
This section explains core terms and abbreviations — for example, ADME, ex vivo, 503A vs 503B, and more — to help clarify foundational ideas in Clinical Pharmacology.
Here I explore how drugs move through the body — absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion — along with PK models, parameters, and bioanalytical methods.
This part covers how drugs interact with biological systems — receptor binding, dose-response relationships, and the translation from preclinical findings to clinical outcomes.
Discussion of study design principles — from first-in-human studies to Phase III — emphasizing endpoints, randomization, blinding, and modeling and simulation strategies.
A collection of textbooks, official guidance documents, and links to authoritative organizations such as FDA, EMA, and NIH — resources I use and recommend for learning and research.
